Finding Freebies
All the rumors you’ve heard are true, you can get free stuff on the Internet, but where do you start? Below are some helpful hints for the new freebies hunter:
First and foremost, you should be careful about where you give out your personal information.
Freebie Tips
- Read the fine print. Some offers are not free and require you to sign up for something to get the freebie.
- If it seems too good to be true, it most likely is.
- When possible stick with big brand stores and products so you know you are dealing with a credible site. If you aren’t sure if you should trust the site, it may be best to skip this freebie.
- Don’t provide information you are uncomfortable sharing. I am not comfortable giving my home phone so I often just use a 555 number.
- Set up a gmail email address to use for freebie submissions so your regular email inbox doesn’t get crowded with offers and of course spam.
Let’s be honest, who doesn’t love free stuff? Knowing goodies are on the way to your mailbox and not just bills, feels good but don’t be a hog. Only go for freebies that really interest you. Don’t get freebie happy and try to get every single freebie you see.
Make sure you understand what is expected of you so that you do receive your freebie. Many times it’s as simple as filling out a form. Other times the Web site owner may want you to leave a comment or subscribe to their RSS feed. It’s up to you to decide which freebies you want to be involved in and how much time you have to expend in doing so.
If you are a shopaholic, becoming a freebie lover can save, save, save you money! Try finding freebies before spending money. If there is a product you are excited to try, chances are you can get a coupon or free sample offer. Google is your friend, use it!
